The Purple Princess is a 1997 Winnebago/Volkswagen Class B motorhome. Some people say it's the best motorhome ever built. Only about 8000 of them were built before they were discontinued in 2005. This one has a very dependable, sweet-sounding Volkswagen 6-cyclinder motor, with excellent gas mileage, a low turning radius, and a host of amenities that say "Winnebago Quality." Its many features include a full-sized pull-down dining table, a very comfy pull-down queen-sized bed, two back benches, brand-new window coverings, and a TV. Although its propane system has been turned off because I don't think propane is safe to use, I have tried to make up for it by providing renters with two portable stoves and two thermoelectric coolers that you can plug into any of its three 12-volt outlets. It has AC in its cab area and a larger AC unit in the rear that runs on a heavy-duty, 20-foor shore power cable. It's a pleasure to drive, and is short enough that it's easy to park too.
