Just a young guy who bought a van, built a van, and went to live in Tofino with it for a little while. Now I love finding and fixing these old gems, and sharing them with you :)

My boyfriend and I explored Banff and Jasper with Doug - I couldn’t be more pleased with trip! Since he runs on propane, a little extra planning had to be done for filling up the tank. But it was easy to find propane locations where we were in Banff and Jasper. Overall it was a great experience. Jean-luc was very attentive with any questions we had, and was flexible and worked with us when picking up and dropping off Doug.

Traveling around the Canadian Rockies was amazing in Doug! Great retro vibes and great responsiveness and support from Jean-Luc.

We had such a blast taking Doug for a week-long trip through Banff and Jasper! We were continually impressed by how well-designed the interior was--it was extremely comfortable and convenient to eat/play/sleep all week long. We were also impressed by how well Doug ran and what great shape he is in for his age! Jean-Luc was a great communicator and so thoughtful. He even got us a bag of local coffee for our trip once he heard we were coffee lovers! 10/10 experience. If we ever road trip through western Canada again we hope Doug is available, and we would recommend him to anyone!

My daughter and I decided that a road trip from Calgary to the coast would be a fun way to celebrate her grade 12 graduation. I looked at a few other rental options before I found Outdoorsy. Immediately, I liked the camper selection and the overall business model of Outdoorsy.

If you’re looking to travel around Canada, then Doug is the guy to hire for your trip! He was extremely comfortable, easy to use & made for the perfect mountain camping trip. Jean-Luc was extremely helpful, accomodating & friendly. Can’t recommend Jean-Luc’s camper enough! We will be back ☺️☺️

We had such a fantastic time on our trip with Doug! This van was the absolute perfect base to call home as we explored Banff + Jasper and we are so happy with our experience. Jean-Luc has put so much appreciated effort into making Doug super comfy, stylish and practical, and was very quick to respond to any and all of our questions. We found the propane to be easy to navigate, and quite fuel efficient and affordable given how much travel we did. We 100% recommend booking Doug for your next adventure - we miss him already and look forward to hopefully exploring with him again soon!

Doug the van is like an old friend, he will never let you down! Its vintage look is amazing, its engine is very efficient and the inside is very practical.
The only downside is that it runs on propane, which is a bit expensive right now.
