City Escapes is an NYC-based travel company that provides unique travel experiences throughout the Northeast. Started in 2017 by childhood friends Chris & Dan, this professional but small operation has hosted thousands of guests across multiple vacation rental properties. In 2022, City Escapes launched the Adventure Van which aims to bring "Van Life" to the East Coast along with multiple curated trail experiences throughout the Northeast.

RV is very well equipped and very easy to drive. Besides the extra length to take into consideration in turns, it drives like a car. The videos available on YouTube to learn about the vehicle are easy to follow, so nothing in van feels complicated, even for a first time camper.
Host was very easy to reach out to for questions or giving updates.

We traveled as a family of three adults and a small dog and had a fantastic time with Sam’s RV! The van was the perfect size—large enough for all of us to be comfortable, yet small enough to easily drive around and park in U.S. towns.
Sam was a wonderful host! He was very accommodating, which we truly appreciated, and always responded quickly, making the whole process seamless. The RV itself was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need and more—pots and pans, bedding, even camping chairs! It was also great on gas.

We had such a great experience with this RV! My friend and I took it up to Provincetown for the 4th of July week and it handled the long drive perfectly. We didn’t get a chance to use the kitchen or bathroom since our campground had those facilities, but everything in the RV was clean and looked to be in good working order. Thanks for helping make our vacation so enjoyable!

Great first time experience with City Escapes- being new to this we had a lot of questions and the hosts were so communicative and helpful. Van had everything we needed for a trip south to see family on Thanksgiving

This was our first time renting a camper van and it was awesome! WheelSuites made the rental process super smooth and easy, and they were quick to respond to any questions we had before, during and after our trip. They did a great job sending resources to get familiar with the van, and at handoff they also did a thorough walk through in person which was really helpful and made us feel confident operating the van. The van itself had everything we needed, we appreciated all the extras that came with it like the WiFi hotspot and camping chairs. Will definitely rent with them again for future trips!

Sam was super communicative and friendly with every interaction during the whole renting experience. The sprinter was perfect for what we needed and all the necessities. Pick up and drop off was flawless and instructions were clear. All around a great experience!

Sam and the City Escapes team was amazing - they came through last minute for us and got us setup. The Van was immaculate, easy to use and perfect for the weekend. We're already planning on our next trip with them. Thank you all for saving the weekend!

There is simply not enough nice things to say about the team at City Escapes. They were tremendously helpful, responsive, and kind from the start. I had some questions at the beginning about details on the Adventure Van and they were clearly on top of their game. They are clearly thoughtful and intentional. From the pre booking discussions, to the pre check in period, through to pick up and return, the team at City Escapes never left us hanging. They reached out multiple times to ensure we had what we needed. I was using the van for an endurance event throughout New York State which required that we have incredibly prompt issue resolution should anything come up - otherwise it could have derailed the event or meant that I couldn’t complete it at all. There was one small issue that came up (things happen) and what everyone should know is that we were able to get in contact with both City Escapes and Outdoorsy immediately until the hiccup was resolved. In all, my conversations with them proved how committed they were to ensuring that we not only had a good time but that we were well taken care of. One amenity that we loved and were worried about not working well was the fridge. Previous vans we’ve had only had luke warm fridge because they only run when the van is running. Somehow this thing was cold and the freezer worked too! Importantly we had this thing for 10 days and even though we used the stove twice a day, the propane tank lasted the entire time. Both of those things were a pleasant surprise at how well they worked. 10/10 I would recommend to them to anyone interested in renting this van. It’s a good company. Great team. And you’ll have a great time. Now go get into the outdoors!

We really enjoyed our trip to Watkins Glen in the Solis! Dan and Sam were a pleasure to work with and made the entire process very easy. Look forward to doing it again.
