Location: Yorkie lives in Hillsborough, Auckland, around 15 minutes from Auckland Airport and 15 minutes from the CBD. It's a great place to start a tour of Aotearoa, with easy motorway access north or south.In The Cab: 4 belted seats and an easy automatic transmission, with a turbo engine that makes light work of climbing hills. Apple CarPlay, a reversing camera, air conditioning and a radio with audio inputs make every journey effortless. An open cabin layout gives you walk-through access straight into the living space. Yorkie runs on diesel.Kitchen Area: With 1.9m of interior height, most people can stand and move about comfortably. Yorkie has a gas stove, a sink, a generous fridge with a small freezer, and a coffee maker, plus all the cooking basics, pots, pans, dishes and utensils you'll need. There's a dining table for meals, working or games.Dining/Living/Sleeping Area: Warm wood panelling throughout gives a relaxed, beachy feel. Yorkie sleeps 3, comfortably accommodating 2 adults and a child. The versatile pull-out bed expands to a spacious king (1.7m x 2.0m), or can be configured as a double with a small single. Easy-to-use blinds provide privacy and shade, and there's plenty of storage throughout, including extra space under the bed.Bathroom and Water Facilities: Yorkie is green-sticker certified self-contained, with a separate cassette toilet (toilet paper provided) and a large indoor shower with hot running water, a real luxury in a campervan of this size. There's a bathroom sink, plus an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. A 40 litre fresh water tank and 40 litre grey water system, with drinking water available onboard.Electrical/Lighting: A solar power system with an inverter keeps the batteries charged through summer, and occasional driving will top things up in winter. There's electric and water hook-up for powered sites, plus a sewer hook-up.Ventilation: A ceiling fan and air conditioning keep things comfortable on warmer days.Outside: An awning extends your living space and gives you shade or shelter, and there's a bike rack for bringing your wheels along.Pets: Well-behaved family dogs are welcome, so no one has to miss out on the adventure.Conversion Story:
