<html><head></head><body><p>An owner’s cancellation policy determines the amount of the renter’s reservation deposit. Flexible and Moderate cancellation policies require a 25% deposit. Strict cancellation policies require a 50% deposit. The reservation deposit is charged to all bookings made 14 or more days in advance.</p>
<p>If a booking is less than 14 days away, the reservation is charged in full. If a booking is more than 14 days away, renters have the option to pay the reservation deposit in two installments—the first being a partial reservation deposit, the second a reservation remainder to be paid 14 days before the booking start date.</p>
<p>The reservation deposit policy applies only to bookings made with a credit card. If a booking is paid with PayPal, the full reservation amount is required regardless of the host’s cancellation policy.</p>

How much do I need to pay to reserve an RV on Outdoorsy?

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Host service fee</strong></h3>



<p>The host service fee for vehicle bookings ranges between 20% and 25% of the booking subtotal (the nightly rate plus cleaning fee, add-on fees, delivery fee and any other fees, if applicable, but excluding Outdoorsy fees and taxes). All hosts on Outdoorsy start off with a 25% service fee. As your revenue increases, your host fee decreases.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Post Trip Charges&nbsp;</strong></h3>



<p>Hosts have the option and ability to claim funds from the security deposit for up to seven (7) days after a trip ends. To access the security deposit and assess any needed funds, navigate to the specific booking in your dashboard and use the Collect Fees form.&nbsp;</p>



<p>These security deposit charges work just like any other charge on a booking that is subject to taxes and fees. Claimed funds from the security deposit may be subject to taxes, service fees, or both, depending on the item being charged. All charges will always be subject to a 2.95% processing fee, as well.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Just a heads up- all host payouts can take between 3-5 business days to hit your account.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Pro tip</strong> – Bringing new guests to Outdoorsy will significantly lower both your host service fee and your guest’s service fee.. When you send a brand new guest a quote and they book your vehicle, the host fee on that booking will drop down to 6.5% and the guest fee to 0%. A win, win. <em>The new guest must not already have an Outdoorsy account associated with their email address for the host fee to be reduced.</em></p>

<p>The host service fee for bookings is a percentage of the booking total. This applies to each booking.</p>
<p>The booking total includes the nightly rate plus add-ons, the cleaning fee, delivery fee, and any other fees, if applicable. The booking total does not include Outdoorsy fees and taxes.</p>
<p>There is a minimum host service fee of $15/night for driveable vehicles and $10/night for towables. If the host service fees incurred are less than this amount per night based on the normally assessed percentage, they will be automatically adjusted up to the minimum amount per night, based on vehicle type.</p>
<p>Hosts can locate the fee on the reservation page for any booking.</p>
<p><b>Guest service fee</b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The guest service fee is 10%</span><span style="font-weight: 400"> of the booking total for all RV rentals. <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>What do I do when I have a booking for my Stay with a check-in date that departs after October 1st 2024</strong></h3>



<p>You will have to cancel the booking and rebook the guest if possible outside of Outdoorsy</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Should I expect a tax from Outdoorsy for stay bookings in 2024?</strong></h3>

<html><head></head><body><p>You’ve booked an RV and are getting stoked for your camping vacation – hooray!<br><br>Now, let’s say you want to change your payment method after you’ve booked your trip. No problemo. Depending on when your trip departs, different charges, like the security deposit, can occur at different times. <br><br>As a result, you may want to update the payment method associated with your reservation. Here’s how to do that:</p>



<p>1.) Navigate to your <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.outdoorsy.com/trips" target="_blank">trips page</a></p>



<p>2.) Scroll down until you see a section regarding your ‘security deposit amount and timing’</p>

How do I update my payment method?

<html><head></head><body><p><strong>UPDATE: As of July 2025, Roamly Weather Coverage will no longer be offered to purchase with Outdoorsy bookings. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.</strong></p>



<p>Roamly has partnered with Sensible to provide a product that allows you to purchase coverage for the duration of your trip and be able to receive a refund in the event of bad weather.</p>



<p>Available in the U.S. only, for all RVs, this additional Roamly Weather Coverage provides protection for your trip in the event of unexpected bad weather. Possible coverage is based on information from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).</p>



<p>For example, if it rains more than the amount quoted (based on the NOAA day-of-forecast), then Sensible will automatically provide a refund to you, based on the current weather at the location of your trip.</p>



<p>When you initially purchase coverage from Roamly Weather, you will see some basic information outlining your coverage and its parameters:</p>



<p><strong><em>What to expect:</em></strong></p>



<p><em>A forecasted “light rain” of 1.5 mm, or more, for 3+ hours will trigger the daily coverage. We’ll alert you if bad weather is on the horizon. Don’t worry, we’ll only text you if it’s important – aka you have money available.          Light rain is when you walk outside, and the ground looks like it’s been raining, think small puddles. </em></p>



<p><strong><em>How’s the coverage triggered?</em></strong></p>



<p><em>3 – 6 hours of rain = $51.93/day                                                                                                                                               6+ hours of rain = $103.86/day</em></p>



<p>This is just an example of what you’ll see when you consider purchasing coverage. The expected forecast, details, and amount of possible refunds.&nbsp;</p>



<p>If the weather during your trip is considerably worse than anticipated, based on the previous NOAA forecast, Sensible will notify you via text message and issue reimbursement automatically!</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>How do I purchase Roamly Weather Coverage?</strong></h3>



<p>Weather Coverage is offered when you make your reservation online for any stationary RV bookings where the RV is delivered and set up at a destination, or for campsite bookings, because the service requires an address to calculate the coverage.</p>



<p>You will also be able to purchase Weather Coverage after your booking is confirmed, from the Trips details page in your account.</p>



<p><strong>Note!</strong> Roamly weather coverage can only be quoted and purchased for trips that are less than three months long.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Is Roamly Weather Coverage the same as Trip Protection?</strong></h3>



<p>No, Roamly Weather Coverage is a separate offering from both Trip Protection and Damage Protection.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>How is the covered amount determined?</strong></h3>



<p>The covered amount is based on the total cost of your booking when coverage is purchased.&nbsp;</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>How long do I have to purchase coverage?</strong></h3>



<p>Roamly Weather Coverage is available for purchase up until the day before your trip begins. If your trip starts today, you will not be able to purchase coverage.&nbsp;</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>What happens if I change the dates of my trip?</strong></h3>



<p>Because coverage is based on a specific date range and forecast, if you change the dates of your trip then your Roamly Weather Coverage will be removed and need to be repurchased for your new trip dates.&nbsp;</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Can I cancel my Weather Coverage?</strong></h3>



<p>You have 24 hours after the purchase of Roamly Weather Coverage to cancel it. After 24 hours have passed, then coverage will not be able to be removed without canceling the booking.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Note!</strong> If Roamly Weather Coverage is added within 14 days of your booking’s start date, then the option to remove the coverage will not be available.&nbsp;</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>What happens to my coverage if my booking is canceled?</strong></h3>



<p>If the booking is canceled prior to departure, then the entire cost of Roamly Weather Coverage will be refunded to you.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Note!</strong> If the booking is canceled on, or after, departure then Roamly Weather Coverage will be nonrefundable.&nbsp;</p>
